Second edition of the “Skills for Life” Conference in Palermo

Today, Monday, December 4, will see the second edition of the Skills for Life Conference, organized by Room to Read (an American NGO active in the empowerment of girls and young women) with the partners of Project I Had an Idea!.

"The conference aims to provide an opportunity to highlight the gender gap that persists in Italy, and the challenges linked to the empowerment of girls, their education, professional training, and employment inclusion, as well as to share ideas and good practices to create educational opportunities that are gender-sensitive and increase young women's prospects for success in work and life."

During the day, Room to Read, together with partner organisations (Fondazione Mondo DigitaleFEdUF, and L’Altra Napoli) will present the activities implemented in schools of Naples and Palermo: an original PCTO pilot project focusing on digital skills, life, financial education, and self-entrepreneurship skills, and educational narrative products.
