At 15, he was a digital ambassador; at 19, he’s the CEO of Engine4You
In 2018, Francesco Maura, a fifteen-year-old student at the Liceo di Ceccano (Frosinone), was selected by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale as a digital ambassador for the third Italian team for European Project Make: Learn: Share: Europe. In 2019, Francesco participated in the Tech Care Hackathon on ethics and robotics promoted by the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University, placing second with Project OwnMed, an app for diabetic patients.
At RomeCup 2019, together with his team, he won the Creative Jam and hackathon with Project T-glass, smart glasses to help the sight-impaired through video cameras and sensors.
In 2019, Francesco was nominated "Alfiere della Repubblica" (Standard-bearer of the Republic) by Italian President Sergio Mattarella for his “advanced digital qualities and his ability to design and develop innovative tools that can also help overcome divides and social issues.”
Francesco is currently studying computer engineering at Sapienza University of Rome and has founded an innovative start-up called Engine4You together with Luca Iacovissi (Graphic Designer), Cristian Colasanti (Marketing Manager), Leonardo Pulciani (3D Modeller) and Amy Ferri (Social Media Manager).
