Enthusiasm in Cernobbio

The adventure begins for 15 grandparents in Cernobbio (Como).

Primary school student tutors, coordinated by Prof. Emilia Bianchi, began the “Grandparents on the Internet” course last Saturday.

The kick-off event witnessed the presence of Cernobbio Deputy Mayor Franca Maiorana who began “on behalf of the Mayor, the Council and myself, I would like to congratulate all of you for the great effort and enthusiasm that you have put into this project.”

The “Grandparents on the Internet in Como” Project is promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the Province of Como, the Como Chamber of Commerce and the Como Provincial School Department. The Project involves 15 schools in 13 areas throughout the Province.

The initiative includes 15 basic 30-hour courses and an advanced intensive module on e-Gov to learn how to use the National Services Charter. This is a digital “passé-partout” issued by the Chamber of Commerce that allows citizens to access public administration services on-line and digitally sign documents.

The course is based on the didactic kit developed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale that includes 5 volumes, including the manuals on regional e-Gov services.

Prof. Emilia Bianchi tells us about the first lessons.
