In order to bolster knowledge of diversity and promote integration of all individuals by overcoming limits and prejudice, the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research and FIABA Onlus, have published a call for the fifth edition of the “Diversity. How Do You Represent it?” Competition for schools.

The debate amongst cultures, traditions, costumes and personal abilities is a key element in an increasingly multi-ethnic and multi-faceted society in which differences constitute a precious source of personal enrichment, whilst respecting everyone’s uniqueness.

The competition is open to individual students, classes or groups of students from different primary or secondary, public or private, schools.

The competition calls for the development of a product, video or digitally manufactured article that represents “diversity” at school, describing what most people see as differences, but actually are, once prejudice is swept away, resources and sources of enrichment for everyone.

A commission composed of MIUR and Fiaba Onlus representatives, will judge all entries. The commission will evaluate all Fab Lab articles in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

Submission deadline: March 2, 2020.
