There is still time until 4 October to take part in Digital4Human. Innovation that includes, the competition organised by Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS and ING Italia as part of Job Digital Lab, in collaboration with Ausilioteca Roma and the Istituto Leonarda Vaccari.
Il Messaggero has also highlighted this opportunity; in its Sunday edition of 13 September, it dedicated an article to the competition entitled “Disability: an award for ideas and technologies – the competition for businesses and universities”. The newspaper emphasises the search for solutions that have already been developed and tested: working prototypes, beta versions and projects tested in real-world contexts, with the direct involvement of the people for whom they are intended.
From artificial intelligence to robotics, from augmented and virtual reality to sensors, right through to digital platforms and interactive systems: projects utilising a variety of technologies are eligible to apply, provided they are capable of having a tangible impact on the independence, participation and quality of life of people with disabilities. Each application must also include at least one person under 35 in a key role within the project. Participation is free of charge.
‘We want to highlight projects that are already working, that are already changing people’s lives, and help them take the next step. Because inclusion is built one concrete project at a time,’ explains Mirta Michilli, Director-General of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
The new deadline for submitting applications is 4 October 2026.
