Trust aWare: tests sessions continue with various generations
The testing of tools developed by the consortium of the European Trust aWare project to protect citizens continues. Today and tomorrow, the protagonists will be students at the Liceo Bertrand Russell and the educational community (teachers, parents and grandparents) of the Istituto comprensivo Via Poseidone in Rome. Coach Susanna Bulgheroni will hold advanced sessions on personal data and privacy.
In fact, in order to design quality public services capable of responding to the real daily needs of citizens, their input is crucial in the design process. It’s not a common practice. It requires the involvement of citizens not just as recipients, but also as active participants in the service design strategy. With this objective, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is experimenting with participatory and user-centred design (UCD), which involves young adults and seniors in the various stages of development of the Trust Aware solution, from the exploration of daily needs, according to the various age groups, and the experience of network security tools, to the testing of the prototype.
In the phase of observation and collection of the recipient needs, facilitators and researchers also play the role of mediators. They consider all the characteristics and needs of the person (emotional, affective, cognitive) in order to ensure that the tool will be truly usable and useful.
