Synergy between “Grandparents on the Internet” and European Project EngAGED
In the aftermath of International Volunteer Day 2023, which occurs every year on December 5, collaboration between our long-standing digital literacy programme Grandparents on the Internet” and European Project EngAGEd (Intergenerational Digital Engagement) enters its operational phase. The objective is to improve media literacy skills, linked to the conscious use of information communication technology, counter misinformation, and recognize misleading news.
Today, the Liceo Scientifico Statale Isacco Newton, a school directed by Cristina Costarelli, will host an initial training meeting for student tutors, the young knowledge volunteers who over the next few months will take train over-50s on digital and media literacy. Today's activities will be coordinated by Francesca Aghemo, with the supervision of Project Manager Annaleda Mazzucato.
