Today at 4:00 pm, the Spazio Europa (via IV Novembre 149) will host CodeIT in Rome, the central event of Italy’s participation in the 2014 edition of Europe Code Week. The event is hosted by the European Representation in Italy and is organized by the Urbino University School of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Agenzia per l’Italia Digitale and the Associazione NeuNet.
The first part of the meeting will address programming and digital skills from an institutional (with keynote speechs by Riccardo Luna, Director of the Agenzia per l’Italia Digitale, the Ministry of Education, University and Research and the curators of the Programma per il Futuro Project [Cini-Miur], by the President of the Stati Generali dell’Innovazione and the Code Week Ambassador to Italy) and practical point of view (young protagonists of successful experiences in organisations, associations, groups and schools).
During the second part of the event, Code Week Ambassadors from participating countries will connect via audio-conference to present their contribution to the first educational crowd-coding experiment. The aim is to develop a new Android smartphone game called FlagShipEU. The game will be developed during Code Week and officially released by Neelie Kroes at the end of the event.
