To help parents guide their children towards the jobs of the future
As part of the Breaking Barriers project, promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale with the support of Google.org to reduce inequalities in access to STEM skills, an online helpdesk dedicated to parents has been created. The aim is to offer tools and guidance to accompany young people in their discovery of scientific and technological disciplines and in their choice of study and career paths.
Through interactive meetings on the Zoom platform, experts guide parents in understanding the importance of STEM, illustrating professional opportunities, educational strategies and ways to support children and teenagers in cultivating their passions and talents.
The service is aimed at parents of secondary school students and also includes role modelling sessions with professionals in the sector to inspire the younger generations.
