A day of creativity and international collaboration in Sorrento

Yesterday theIstituto Polispecialistico San Paolo in Sorrento was transformed into a laboratory of ideas and innovation! Students from Campania welcomed the delegation from theUniversity of Delaware (USA) for the last leg of the Italian tour to discover the Italian way to Steam with the Coding Girls [see the news item The American delegation in Sorrento].

The morning opened with a session of design thinking and public speaking: everyone experienced how to transform ideas into projects thanks to the energy and guidance of the American tutors. In the afternoon, the students were engaged in a creative hackathon, a real code challenge to enhance Campania's typical products and dishes through original video games.
The two trainers from the University of Salerno, Margherita Napolitano and Martina Girolamo, supervised the collaborative work of the eight groups.

The winning group, Titan Code, won over the jury with its ‘Jump over the sorbet’ project.
In the team were students Francesco, Francesco, Raffaele, Luca, and American tutors Mason, Logan, Daniel, Grace.
