An App for Eco-Villages

Andy and Ebrima, two young protagonists and aspiring mentors for Project Welcome, won the Social Hackathon Umbria, organised by the Centro Studi Città di Foligno, another Italian project partner [see news: Digital Co-creation].

 

Together with an international workgroup, they worked on the challenge launched by ecOpp! Co-living in Eco-Villages to "develop a platform/app to simplify everyday life and social enterprise in eco-villages. The objective is to improve the conditions of co-existence and long-term relations.

 

By decoding and reintroducing sharing activities, which are already underway in eco-villages, in an open and collaborative manner, we can stimulate an entrepreneurial mindset and create partnership opportunities with other communities, SMEs and activists.”

 

The Team Manager is Leonor Alfonso, a life coach with a vast experience in non-formal and community work, who collaborations with the Ynternet.org Foundation on international projects promote youth employment and digital literacy.
