A few days after the inauguration of the Phyrtual Innovation Gym, Lucio Perrotta from the Roma Italia Lab magazine interviewed the project designer Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh and Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.
The title - Innovation Gym: an innovation school where children are taught the future – already highlights the essential aspect of Alfonso Molina’s vision. This is how Prof. Molina introduced the innovation gym:
We have a dream. We imagine that innovation gyms of all sizes and types will develop in cities and in the world of school. Just like we have physics, chemistry, computer and physical education gyms, we like to imagine the creation of “phyrtual” innovation gyms in all schools. Once we have launched the first “phyrtual” gym, we will turn to the challenge of creating them in all schools. We will strive to train student and teacher teams to work at this challenge through crowdfunding and other methods to find the necessary resources.
