Eight editions of the digital literacy programme for over-sixties have produced more than 9.000 certified senior citizens, helped by 5.000 student tutors. 650 coordinating teachers have coordinated the activities in over 200 schools.
The Grandparents on the Internet Project, first organized in Rome in 2003, has been exported to and experimented in many other Italian regions (Abruzzi, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont and Umbria) and European countries (Belgium, Spain and Romania).
Registration is now underway for the new 2010-11 school year courses.
