Robodidactics - Presentation of the Project Results

The results produced by the Robodidactics Project after two years of experimentation in sixteen school in various countries will be presented on September 29-30, 2008 at the Galileo Galilei Institute and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

The Robodidactics Project, financed by the European Commission from 2006 to 2008 in the context of the Minerva Programme, has involved sixteen schools of various types from Italy, Poland, Slovenia Germany and Holland.

Six Italian Schools have participated in the project:

  • Isip “L. Da Vinci” - Arcidosso
  • “Polo Tecnico” - Treviglio
  • ITIS “A. Pacinotti” - Rome
  • IC “Mozart” - Rome
  • Liceo Artistico Statale - Latina
  • Istituto Tecnico “I. Calvino” - Genoa

All schools received a didactic kit including both technical and didactic material. The technical material included both hardware (the Robotech srl robot) and software (Robopal and the Ticolla simulation environment), while the didactic material included manuals and guides.

The evaluation of the project was conducted on the basis of the “Real Time Methodology” developed by the University of Edinburgh, a project partner. In particular, four aspects of the Robodidactics Project were evaluated: the manuals, the courses and the technical and methodological tools.
