Perforating Routine

Labs continue in schools in the run up to the Media Art Festival (Rome, February 25 – March 1, 2015). Today, at 2:30 pm, the Liceo Virgilio in Rome will hold a lab on “Performing/Perforating Routine.”

Elisa Turco Liveri and Salvatore Insana, better known as Dehors/Audela, will push students to experiment with the origin of the creative act by monitoring a series of sources and heterogeneous languages.

Participants will assemble and disassemble a wide variety of materials provided by the artists: videos, newspapers, audio clips, images, sculptures, paintings, literature, objects, clothes, personal stories and more. The objective of the lab is to create a video by using body language, voice as a sound/noise and other materials.

The media art being conceived in the labs will be showcased at the first edition of the Italian Media Art Festival as part of the fourth Thematic Week dedicated to digital literacy in Rooman Schools (January 15-21). The Thematic Weeks are part of the Rome Città Educativa Project.
