Lorenzo (19) lives with his parents in Scampia, a suburb north of Naples and one of the most problematic areas in southern Italy in terms of unemployment, school dropout rate, criminality, etc.
Together with some of his classmates, Lorenzo participated in Project Meet No Neet and the social project competition, which he won with Clean Up and Innovate. Moreover, the team has now launched a crowdfunding campaign on Phyrtual.org with the slogan: My Future? #itsuptome.
Lorenzo’s story is now on the official Microsoft (Corporate Citizenship) site on the page dedicated to YouthSpark, the global programme that aims to create, by 2015, new opportunities for 3000 million young students in over 100 countries by helping them imagine and fulfill their true potential thanks to greater opportunities in education, employment and entrepreneurship.
