Is Your Password Safe?

With Programme Living Digital, every day is a Data Protection Day! Yesterday, January 28, was EU Data Privacy Day, a day adopted worldwide to raise awareness on the protection of personal on-line information.

Indeed, the cybersecurity module of Programme Living Digital is one of the most beloved by students, who come to learn just how much they really don’t know. For example, did you know that the top on-line security password is still "123456"?

Ilenia, a twenty-year-old student at the Istituto Lombardo Radice in Rome, learned that her password was not safe thanks to the course promoted by Facebook, Freeformers and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale. Listen to her explain it in this interview with Ilaria Bonanni.

Today, Living Digital will be at the IIS Vittorio Gasmann School in Rome, where 60 students in years four and five will attend a course on innovation, web presence and cybersecurity held by Fabrizio Jimenez and Mohamed Fatiga.

Through the collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and other Italian partners, Project “Digital Living” will provide students with the opportunity to improve their competences and acquire the mentality necessary to fully exploit the new forms of digital economy. In 2018-19, the Living Digital Tour will travel to the main Italian cities and train over 6000 young men and women in the last two years of second-degree secondary school.

The programme will also use group games, videos, on-line platforms and apps to allow students to learn interactively and continue to practice both at home and in their free time. At the end of the training period, each participant will receive a certification of his/her new competences profile.
