In order to overcome gender stereotypes and attract young women towards a digital career, Coding Girls Rome-USA provides young girls in primary and secondary school with the opportunity to experience new technology hands on and admire positive models such as the Girls Who Code coaches and the tutors from the Sapienza University Department of Computer Science.

From October 12 to 17, schools throughout Rome will host coding labs, while on October 18-19, the event will move to the Phyrtual Innovation Gym (via del Quadraro 102) for a full immersion in new technology and a hackathon.

This morning, coaches and tutors are at work at the Istituto comprensivo Elsa Morante; while for the afternoon, the event will move to the Istituto d'istruzione secondaria superiore Pacinotti-Archimede.
