Twelve artists are working with students in 12 schools in NaplesRome and Milan to develop digital works that will be exhibited at the prestigious BNL Media Art Festival.

 

The aim is to help students develop a new understanding of art and technology, strategic competitive skills and new professional profiles.

 

  Today’s Labs

 

10.00 – 12.00 am

Giacomo Lion will be at the IC Parco della Vittoria School in Rome for Project #emotionvidemoment in which students will design and develop a real-time performance with the artist.

 

2.30 – 4.30 pm

Walter Paradiso will be at the Rome Liceo Virgilio with Project “World Wide Without” in which the students and artists will develop a video with both digital and analog techniques.

 

2.30 – 4.30 pm

Dehors e Audela will be at the Liceo Righi in Rome for Project “Perfor(m)are il quotidiano,” a workshop on scenic presence during which the students and artist will design and develop a live performance.

 

2.30 – 4.30 pm

Roberto Fega will be at the Liceo artistico Via S. Agnese in Tivoli (Rome) to develop a “sound environment” installation with the students.

 

From 2 to 6 pm, the Phyrtual Innovation Gym will host the Officina degli Artisti Project with Lino Strangis, who will explore ditial art via the ludic experience of videogames in the Game Lab.

 

 

The appointment with the Media Art Festival original event-project format, which will be held on April 13-17, 2016 at the MAXXI Museum, will feature lectures, installations and conferences with international experts, as well as didactic and educational tracks for students of all ages. The Media Art Festival is an absolute novelty for the Italian artistic panorama, a true, networked laboratory to entice the younger generation to the active, creative and innovative use of technology. Following on the heels of the successful pilot edition, two new partners have joined the initiative developed by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale: BNL Gruppo BNP Paribas and the Rome Fondazione MAXXI.
