A group of students from the Rome Sapienza University Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture spent an entire week at the Fab Lab in the Rome Phyrtual Innovation Gym, learning to use the computerized devices.
The Fab Lab is a laboratory dedicated to traditional and digital manufacturing. It’s the first Fab Lab opened in Rome and based on MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms. The lab is equipped with 3D Sharebot and 3D PowerWASP printers, laser cutters, plotters, mills, soldering machines and many more devices. The lab holds workshops for schools and professional courses for all interested parties.
