The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is a knowledge-oriented non-profit organisation founded as the Consorzio Gioventù Digitale in 2001 following an initiative of Rome Councillor Mariella Gramaglia, while its strategic mission was developed by Prof. Alfonso Molina, our Scientific Director.
Prof. Tullio De Mauro (Torre Annunziata 1932 - Rome 2017), was the President of the Foundation from 2011 to 2011 and strongly addressed us towards public service: from schools to digital literacy for adults.
Since October 2021, the President of FMD has been Renato Brunetti, founder and CEO, Unidata.
