We would like to share this new initiative with our community organised by the Regione Lazio for makers, enterprises, start-ups and schools: the "Waiting for the Maker Faire Call" promoted in collaboration with Innova Camera.
Participants, with the assistance of expert technicians, will be able to develop prototypes at the Fab Labs at Spazi Attivi in Rome, Bracciano, Viterbo, Latina, Rieti, Ferentino and Zagarolo. The best prototypes, selected by a jury, will be exposed at the Regione Lazio Stand at the Rome Maker Faire, European Edition 2019 (October 18-20).
Projects may concern the development of an industrial product, a new design object or an innovative digital manufacturing solution. Prototypes may be a preliminary model or a mock-up to test a concept or process and may include inventions based on software and apps.
The deadline for “Waiting for the Maker Faire” is September 2, 2019. Here is the on-line application. The deadline for schools is September 27.
Participants can attend the Fab Lab Lazio workshops from September 9-30, 2019, following the schedule of activities listed for Lazio Innova’s Spazi Attivi.
Each lab will host a local competition and reward the three best projects. The 21 selected projects will participate in the final competition. Moreover, secondary school projects will participate in the dedicated exhibition on October 18.
