From Verona to Pescara

"I am happy to bring the “She Means Business” Project by Facebook Italy to Verona. It has received much interest, a sign that there is great interest in digital marketing for female enterprise between Vicenza and Verona. I have met many informed people who have added great value to the training session with their questions, as well as allowing networking.”

Coach Margot Deliperi has hosted three training sessions for the Facebook Programme promoting women in enterprise, which is implemented in Italy in collaboration with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

Today’s appointment in Verona (9 am – 1 pm) has been organised in collaboration with EWMD Verona and Project #VeronaRosaDigitale.

WOMEN IN TRAINING - DATA

Amongst the hundred women from Verona participating in the training session, 50% has already started an entrepreneurial activity: mostly in communications, education and tourism. A significant number of women still work as employees: nearly 20 per cent. There is great interest in social enterprise activities, from an entrepreneur aged above 70 to a young 21-year-old student.

"The first appointment for #SheMeansBusiness in the Abruzzi was a success. The event was sold out and featured nearly 100 women. And even once the event was over, they kept asking questions, revealing a great desire to learn and undertake new dreams, ideas and projects,” explains Coach Guido Ramini. “The greatest satisfaction was to see an immediate use of one of the examples that we spoke about at the course by one of the participants, a creative way of posting images on Instagram. Just a small step, but it has a high symbolic value.”

"I spoke with some of them and realised how well the “She Means Business” format works. A free day of training is the first step to understanding what direction to undertake and how to organise one’s life and business objectives, as well as to continue studying," adds Lisa Di Bello. "And this is exactly what Project SMB aims to do, make women aware of the importance, of the absolute necessity, of using social networks as a tool in their daily work. As we often hear said these days … If you are not on-line, you don’t exist!”

Lisa Di Bello and Guido Ramini are hosting a second training session in Pescara, organised in collaboration with CNA Chieti.

WOMEN IN TRAINING – DATA

Craftsmanship is the main entrepreneurial activity for women in the Abruzzi. Indeed, nearly half the participants have already started an entrepreneurial activity. The 50 women in Pescara are younger than their peers in Veneto. They are 22 to 58 years old. Twenty-six per cent is still looking for a job.
