The Metaverse for Economic Development and the agro-food industry with Agia-Cia
Vagone FMD. From 01 to 100 in the Metaverse meetings are starting again at Binario F, the Meta Hub in Rome. From June, there will be a series of meetings reserved for policy makers, public decision makers, administrators, experts and entrepreneurs will explore the technology of the metaverse and its implications for the economy, culture and education, via immersive experiences and a final brainstorming session.
Today’s appointment (June 8) will feature the Association of Young Agricultural Entrepreneurs - Cia-Agricoltori Italiani, National President Enrico Calentini and a numerous delegation of associates. In the afternoon, there will be an exchange of experiences on new digital technology and the agri-food industry, especially on the ways in which high-quality products can be presented in an immersive environment. We will see how the metaverse represents a great opportunity to discover the story of a brand, a wine cellar, to choose the best ingredients and understand the origin of our prestigious wine and food.
The agenda features an initial session with a welcome by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, Meta and CIA, followed by an introductory session to the metaverse, with the participation of Engineering, to present this new technological frontier. The third part will present a case study, the Prosciutto San Daniele Consortium, which has already experimented with the metaverse to reach a wider audience. The audience will have the opportunity to experience the metaverse with Meta Quest 2 visors. The event will end with a final brainstorming session in which CIA members will discuss the opportunities provided by this new technology.
During our previous events, we explored the metaverse in relation to school with the Ministry of Education and Research, its artistic dimension with Maxxi and the Videocittà event, tourism with Federturismo-Confindustria, music with FIMI, health with Simmed, SMEs with Anitec-Assinform, and academia with CRUI.
