Tomorrow, “Not One Less”

The appointment - Tuesday, June 19 (7 – 11 pm) – focuses on female beauty as a state of mind that accompanies women throughout their lives. The university will host an evening amongst friends to promote projects that help women feel beautiful, even during difficult periods, with journalists, fashion workers, sports personalities and wellness experts that will discuss female beauty from different points of view.

 

The Fondazione Mondo Digitale continues to collaborate with the Rome Campus Bio-Medico University with the "Not One Less" Event to support oncological patients.

 

Programme

 

The evening will be presented by Carla Lombardi, host of the RaiUno “Storie Italiane” TV programme. After the institutional welcome, the event will open with an exceptional guest: Soprano Chiara Taigi will perform Schubert’s Ave Maria, dedicated to Maestra Ivenza Fogli.

 

This will be followed by a Specialisation Course for Beauty Recovery Specialists, a traineeship with free service provided by the “Banca della Parrucca” for patients at the Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico with contributions by Professors Paolo Persichetti, Manager, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit; Vittorio Altomare, Manager, Breast Medicine Unit; Bruno Vincenzi, Oncological Operative Unit.

 

During the course of the evening, there will be: a special dinner conceived and prepared by Chef Fabio Campoli, relevant videos will be projected, the “Arte in Testa” surprise will be presented and curious creations by Giusy Giambertone and the “Women in Pink” will be presented.

Moreover, expert trichologists and professional make-up artists will be available for demos and practical advice in the Ripar Cosmetici and Tricostarc Corners.

 

Further highlights include a fashion show by the Maison Luigi Borbone in the historical “Salone dei Piceni” and soloist Claudia Galletti, who will interpret. Some of the most famous songs inspired by the female universe.

 

Last, but not least, another important contribution will be provided by Prof. Giuseppe Perrone, Director of the Pathological Anatomy Research Unit, on the Prosigna Test, which is currently available at the Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico for mammary carcinoma patients.

 

UCBM and the “Amici dell'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma Onlus” Association promote services to help oncological patients, including psychological assistance for them and their relatives, as well as providing free wigs, foulards and practical advice on how to face the alopecia caused by chemotherapy and free special aesthetic treatments by trainees on the Beauty Recovery Specialist Course.

 

The funds raised by the event will be used to fund these services and continue promoting them.
