RoboCup: new ranking for Sapienza football players
Team SPQR composed by students from the “Antonio Ruberti” Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering (DIAG) at Sapienza University of Rome returns from RoboCup 2024 in Eindhoven with five victories and two defeats, placing third in the qualification round and the special technical challenge, as well as qualifying for the quarter finals which allowed them to reach fifth place. This excellent placement allowed the robotics and AI-loving students to rise from 7th to 3rd in the global ranking in the Standard Platform League Category, the main league involving independent humanoid football [see news: The Intelligence of Players.
