Education for Educators at the Fab Lab is a lab-project involving a dozen teachers in a lab and e-projecting programme. The objective is to experiment with the potential of digital manufacturing to design and develop innovative didactic tools.
The course is held by Ilaria La Manna (three lessons in September, November and January). What progress has been made by the teachers?
During the second lesson, held on November 24, the teachers presented their project ideas to Matteo Viscogliosi, Ilaria La Manna, Fiammetta Castagnini and Luis Leivale. They have been working on tools to promote teaching and learning processes:
- Glab – Grammar Board
- Lego Case – Object holding modules for the classroom
- Calendario circolare – calendar to teach circular time
- Gioco – self-correction game
- Smart Byte – tool to teach the binary number system
During the next lesson in January, their ideas will be transformed into product prototypes that will be presented and shared at the next edition of the Global Junior Challenge.
