A STEAM Week

This week will be particularly rich in appointments and activities.  On May 6-8, 2019, as part of the STEM in the City organised by the Milan Council, the Fondazione Mondo Digitale will promote a strategic alliance amongst enterprises, schools and universities to promote the scientific and technological education of young men and women, support female talent and new professional profiles and gap the mismatch between school and work. Over 15 appointments will be held in Milan and its Province with 8 partners and in synergy with ongoing educational programmes such as Ambizione Italia for Schools and Living Digital [see news: Schools Meet Enterprise].

 

In BrindisiCagliariAnzio, Genzano and Naples, school educational hubs continue activities organised by Ambizione Italia for Schools.

 

At the Rome Phyrtual Innovation Gym, labs continue (May 7,8 and 10) as part of Share School, the project promoted with Olivetti, with three schools. Multidisciplinary artist Paolo Scoppola will also be at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym to kick of the "Mixed Media Art" Artist-in-residence Programme organised as part of Project + We Würth Experience [see news: Mixed Media Art].

 

Activities are also schedule for European Projects ISEV and Holomakers.

 

Binario F, the Facebook facility at the Rome Termini Railway Station dedicated to digital competences,  will hold three appointments for Programme Vagone FMD:

  • Monday, May 6 - Living Digital with Astrid D'Eredità and students from the Liceo Frammartino [see agenda]
  • Wednesday, May 8 - LogIn with Matteo Viscogliosi and students from IC Largo Volumnia - Plesso Rodari [see agenda]
  • Thursday, May 9 – Living Digital with Lara Forgione and students from ITIS Volta in Guidonia [see agenda].

 

As part of Project "Life Sciences and Development Education. Syngergies for a Widespread Innovation Culture in the Lazio Region," Fondazione Mondo Digitale Coaches will be at the Spazio Attivo Casilina to hold three different activities:

  • Monday, May 6 - Living Digital – the programme by Facebook and Freeformers to help young men and women transform their knowledge and competences into a winning profile for the job market. The main focus will be social media marketing, web presence and cybersecurity.
  • Thursday, May 9 - Digital Couture – a digital manufacturing workshop on textiles. Participants will conduct research and experiments on innovative materials and new digital production techniques for the fashion and wearables industry [Register on Eventbrite].
  • Friday, May 10 - Media Art – with multimedia artist Paolo Scoppola to learn how complex and involving digital art works are conceived [Register on Eventbrite].
