During the course of the Immersive Summer Camp, which was held at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym [see news: Competences for Work], Teresa, a student studying Applied Sciences at the Liceo Andrea Bafile in L’Aquila, designed and developed a special cabin conceived to provide first aid to women in need.
The Help Booth includes a cabin, similar to old phone booths, a digital screen to record and share requests for help, a chair, a security door and external video cameras.
Team TAV2, which includes Teresa (designer), Valeria (designer), Alessandro (public relations) and Valerio (web designer), developed the idea by bringing together the potential of technology with the alarming data on violence against women. The project’s slogan is "Help us to help you!"

The Immersive Summer Camp (June 18-24) was designed as the final part of the TIM school-work programme, which was promoted in 24 schools in 10 Italian cities to provide over 600 year-four students with digital skills. The 18 best students, from six schools in Rome, who shined for innovation and competences, received a free week at the Immersive Summer Camp. Two other students come from the earthquake areas, like Teresa [see news: Surprising Experience!].
