Challenge on artificial intelligence in pharmacy and bioinformatics

The University of Siena will inaugurate the national tour DisclAImer on 17 September. Last warnings before the revolution, a project by Corriere della Sera signed by Riccardo Luna and dedicated to the future of artificial intelligence.

The first stage has health as its central theme, addressed from both a prevention and scientific research perspective.

In the morning, at 11 a.m., the dialogue “AI and vaccines” will see a discussion between Carlo Cottarelli, economist and director of the Observatory on Italian Public Accounts at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, and Rino Rappuoli, scientific director of the Biotecnopolo Foundation in Siena.

In the afternoon, from 3 to 5 p.m., there will be an immersive activity entitled “Biomind Challenge. Artificial intelligence for innovation in pharmacy and bioinformatics”, which will involve university students and young researchers in a multidisciplinary challenge. Introducing and inspiring the teams will be Marco Gori, full professor and director of the SAILab laboratory, Monica Bianchini, associate professor, and Niccolò Pancino, researcher at the University of Siena, together with Anastasija Bakmaz, AI & Data Manager at EY.

With this dual opening, DisclAImer shows its nature right from the start: a platform that intertwines scientific, economic and social reflection with practical experiences of participation and innovation.
