An interview with Daniele who has Microsoft SC 200 and SC 900 Certifications
Daniele Doria, 30 years old, is one of the first young people who has taken advantage of the vouchers available to obtain the free Microsoft certifications: SC-900 on fundamental concepts of cybersecurity and SC-200 for security operations analysts.
Daniele, who has an IT degree, is currently working as a software developer at Invitalia, in the Application Management Business Unit. “I am exploring the vast world of Customer Relationship Management (CRM),” he explains and “more specifically I deal with the development of software solutions to meet business needs.”
Onelia Onorati interviewed him to understand the real motivation that pushed him to "certify" new skills. "I approached the world of cybersecurity for the first time through my university studies and little by little my interest in the environment increased, gaining awareness of the importance of cybersecurity in today's technological context."

What were your expectations before starting the course?
They were mainly oriented towards better understanding the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity and security operations. Obviously, the formal recognition of the knowledge acquired through this course could be useful to me as an added value to my professional profile.
How did it go? What parts did you especially appreciate?
I appreciated the completeness of the information described in the "SC-900" certification documentation on the fundamental concepts of information security. While taking the "SC-200" Security Operations Analyst course, I also found the in-depth look at security operations and incident management interesting. Overall, I appreciated being able to acquire new knowledge that I can apply as a software developer.
Will the certifications be useful for your work?
Absolutely. By delving into the key concepts of cybersecurity, I was able to integrate more robust and aware practices into the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions.
Are there already new topics to explore in the future?
I would like to delve deeper into the field of cloud computing and business solutions, perhaps focusing on Azure, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.
