For the last day of digital school, the TeleMouse digital literacy course held by students at the Plinio Seniore School moved to the Castro Pretorio-Sallustiano Elderly Centre for an end-of-term party with the elder students.
The Course Coordinator Chiara Lorenzoni and Headmaster Carlo Palmiero accompanied the tutors and helped them present the certificates to the participants.
The best tutor was also voted; candidates compete for the Telemouse 3.0 Award promoted by FMD and Telecom Italia. It was also an opportunity for the tutors to familiarize with the centre where they will volunteer. In fact, a group of 12 digital angels will alternate to provide help every Wednesday (2:30-3:30 pm) at the Internet Corner provided by Telecom Italia and help the elders continue to improve their new skills. It also is a step forward for the students: an important experience as assistants outside of the familiar school environment that will certainly be an invaluable experience. A great challenge for all!
Ana Lain interviewed Headmaster Carlo Palmiero who pointed out how it's a “unique learning experience!"
Telemouse is not only an “experience that the guys love,” explains Elderly Centre President Vittorio Smiroldo "but also one they are always fighting over!"
