At work until the very last day … Yesterday was the last day for four students from Itis Pacinottiin Fondi on an internship at the wooden mosaic workshop of Master Pastore. Project The Italian Makers also provided other work/study experiences at Diemme Elettrica, La Civetta Vanitosa, Sartoria Borghetti and Elettromare.
The pioneering team of this new work experience were involved in vastly different sectors, ranging from fashion to the nautical sector. However, there is a common denominator: the five enterprise “captains” who welcomed and helped the students learn with great generosity, an invaluable experience for those who are just approaching the working world in a period of social and economic crisis.
Moreover, two students from IIS Orioliin Viterbo were given the opportunity to develop their first professional project, designing an advertisment poster for the Antica Legatoria Viali.
For three artisan enterprises (La Civetta Vanitosa, Sartoria Borghetti and Falegnameria Pastore) and two schools (Diaz in Rome and Pacinotti in Fondi), the work experience will now continue at the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Fab Lab to prepare their work for the Rome Maker Faire (October 3-5, 2014).
The Italian Makers community project promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Inail Lazio in collaboration with Cna provides students with true working activities and requires them to devise innovation solutions to common problems and bridges the gap between entrepreneurial needs and the skills of students.
