Volunteers of all ages teach over-sixties to use new technologies, the web and keep up-to-date with the knowledge society. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale has been promoting this model for over 10 years.
The The Knowledge Volunteers Project is financed by the European Commission as part of the Grundtvig Programme. Seven countries are involved in the social and digital inclusion of the elderly: Italy, UK, Greece, Romania, Spain, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
Grandparents on the Internet in Tuscia is the digital literacy project promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the Province of Viterbo (560 citizens over the age of 60 and more than 100 students). The final project event will be held today at the Istituto di Istruzione superiore "Orioli" in Viterbo.
