The project promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale as part of the initiatives held at the Rome Città Educativa ended today.
Activities were kicked off by school administrator Giuseppina Palazzo, and followed by presentations by Cecilia Stajano for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale and Paolo Freschi, a teacher at the IC Mozart School. During the morning, students presented the works they prepared with their families for Project Parents on the Internet: from a decalog on on-line safety to maps for safe navigation, a glossary, comic books, quizzes and videos. The day ended with a meeting with the Postal Police experts Paola Turi and Assunta Lipiello, who explained how to safely use the Internet and avoid risks.
School administrator Giuseppina Palazzo gave us a brief interview in which she explains the importance of this project for her students. "It’s important to think through the use of new technology. It should not be abolished or banned, but used in the best way possible. This initiative is fundamental for the students, because it also involves their parents. A good relation with their families is essential.”
