Metaverse and digital literacy with Smart & Heart Rome
Rome Future Week, September 11-17, begins today. The Fondazione Mondo Digitale will participate with three appointments: one at Binario F dedicated to the metaverse and two digital literacy sessions for senior citizens as part of Programme Smart & Heart Rome, funded by the Rome Council.
What can the millenary history, grandeur, and beauty of Rome generate with the revolutionary potential of the metaverse? Participants will have the opportunity to explore this new technology hands on, guided by experts. The appointment is for September 13 at Binario F (Via Marsala 29/H, Termini Railway Station, 11:00 am alle 1:00 pm).
The second meeting will be held in the afternoon (4-6 pm) at the “Statuario Capannelle” Elderly Centre: a digital literacy lab for over-65s in the community and throughout Rome’s Municipio VII.
The third lab will be held on September 14 (3:30-5:30 pm) at the “Piazza Ronca 22” Elderly Centre in Rome’s Municipio X.
During the labs, participants will be able to experiment the advantages of technology in everyday life, from the use of apps to the public administration digital services. Interactive formats, lively presentations, and practical activities will be used to draw in the over-65s and allow them to discover and exploit the potential of digital tools, thereby actively participating in digital society and fully enjoying the advantages of a quality life.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is an official partner of Rome Future Week.
