Robots in the PTOF

The protagonist of this new appointment of " RomeCup Stories" is Carmine Nasti, Professor of Electronics and Electronic Systems Lab Manager at the Istituto tecnico industriale Galileo Ferraris in the Naples Scampia neighbourhood.

Interviewed by Giacomo Palombi, Prof. Nasti relays his passion for teaching and Robotics with great efficacy and simplicity. He considers Robotics an extraordinary tool for orientation and learning. And he has a very positive outlook on the creative contests that involve high school and university students, as well as researchers, on the development of robotic solutions. For the younger, it is a concrete opportunity to evaluate how to continue their studies, even whilst working.

Committed to the orientation of local first-degree secondary students, Prof. Nasti has long used an infallible method. When he has to present his school to students ending eighth grade, he uses the robots, built by his older students, to attract the younger ones. He always has a robot or two with him and the (educational) success is guaranteed. Indeed, his older students agree on the fact that robotics was decisive in their studies.

And what about the RomeCup? It has long been inserted into the school curricula (PTOF). It is now part of the very DNA of our school ...
