Robot Work Unites North and South

Yesterday, the Robot Work Future Technology was presented in Vibo Valentia to promote Educational Robotics in Calabria.

Project promoters include: Regione Calabria, Azienda Calabria Lavoro, Vibovale, Politecnico di Torino and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale.

In his presentation, Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy at the University of Edinburgh and FMD Scientific Director, emphasized the significance of the project:

“This is an extremely important project. It’s a project that has been conceived holistically that benefits a vast system ranging from primary school to industry. Robotics is a discipline with a vast potential as it is present in every sector. The project has potential for a wide impact on the social system of Calabria. It’s a project that unites the North and South, something that extends its value beyond mere robotics. It’s the life skills that allow success. Knowledge can be learned. So, we are starting a process of social change from the children. There is an opportunity for work that begins with skills and knowledge, learning by doing.”
