It was a fantastic experience – both for the students and the teachers – the students competed with other teams from all around the world, learned from the strategies and tactics of others and acquired precious knowledge from teams with a vast international experience.
Two Italian teams - SPQR Gravis e Levis dell’IIS Von Neumann and ITIS Galilei di Roma – made the podium.
• SPQR Gravitas won the 2nd individual place in the Open Soccer B category and 3rd place in the Open Soccer B superteam category.
• SPQR Levis won the 3rd place in the Open Soccer B superteam category.
Cardano Robotix from IIS Monterotondo placed fifteenth out of thirty teams, an improvement over last year’s World Championship in Istanbul.
The Catania Bionics Soccer team from the Itis Archimede school competed in the Open League A category but did not place in the top 12 teams (out 19) that entered the final round. The Sicilian students competed with two completely self-made robots, a true challenge!
