The European Commission is currently evaluating Project Robocom presented by the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Genoa and the Sant'Anna Institute in Pisa.
Robocom is the summa of Robot Companions for Citizens and fits in with the European Initiative on "FET- Features and Emerging Technologies - Flagship" in the 7th Framework Programme for Horizon 2020.
The kern of the project idea is the creation of a generation of robots that can live and work like human beings. It’s a very ambitious project with 70 partners including research centres, universities and European associations.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is one of the Italian partners together – among others – with the Rome Campus Bio Medico di Roma, CNR and StMicroelectronics.
