Rising Youth: Schools from Latina on the Podium

Final project hackathon won by Liceo Grassi Class 4H.

The final challenge of Project Rising Youth project developed with Sap was held at RomeCup 2024. For the final hackathon, supported and flanked by SAP experts, students had to finalise their prototypes and presentations to promote the idea by illustrating its social, technological, and environmental impacts, benefits, innovation, critical issues, and any negative impact (if there was a small price to pay for a great benefit).

FIRST PLACE

I-TRASH, SMART RECYCLING SYSTEMS

Application for waste disposal systems in any type of building. It consists of a single external collection channel which branches into four outlets, each dedicated to a specific type of waste. On each floor of the buildings, there is a branch of the pipe for waste disposal.

 

   

SECOND PLACE

GR-Grow (Sustainable Agriculture)

A smart aquaponic system powered entirely by solar energy and managed by a Raspberry Pi that communicates with a web platform for remote monitoring and control. The smart aquaponic project unites hydroponic cultivation and sustainable farming in a common environment. This system, by combining plant cultivation and fish farming, reduces environmental impact and maximizes efficiency.

SASA FOR BIKE

“Sasa for Bike” is an app that provides maps with indications for cyclists in urban contexts.
