The Rome Città Educativa Robotics Center welcomes once again students from the Istituto d'Istruzione Superiore Lucio Lombardo Radice. Today’s lab will be dedicated to discovering the extraordinary technological potential of the Lego Mindstorms NXT kit based on the use of a smart chip.
The kit contains:
• A 32 bit NXT smart brick with a rechargeable battery
• 500 element+ robust construction system
• 3 interactive servo-motors with integrated encoders
• Ultrasound distance sensors
• Sound sensor
• Light sensor
• Pressure sensor
In the lab, the students will build a small robot equipped with sensors and will compete on a coloured field with a black line. The robots will have to identify the line and stop at it. The first robot to identify the line wins.
Laboratories are held every day, except for Wednesday until June 2014.
