Courses and opportunities for young people kick off with the European PRODIGY projectY
Last Saturday, a new edition of Reggio 2031 - Forum delle Idee took place in Reggio Calabria, an event dedicated to young people in the area, associations and the local productive fabric.
During the Forum, PRODIGY – Promoting Digital and Green Skills for Youth was presented, a European project funded by ESF+ Social Innovation+ and promoted in Italy by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale together with a network of international partners.
Giulia Melissari, regional representative of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, illustrated the project's mission and the first training opportunities, presenting the free courses currently being launched, designed to bridge the gap between the skills of young people and the demands of the digital and green job market.
‘PRODIGY is not just a training project, it is a pact for the future of our young people,’ explained Giulia Melissari. " We are bringing courses of excellence to Reggio Calabria, certified and aligned with European frameworks, to offer participants the tools they need to build their careers in a rapidly changing world."
Among the first courses to be launched:PARTICIPATE
- Basic digital skills, to ensure everyone has a solid starting point in the digital world;
- Data Analyst, to train specialists capable of interpreting data and supporting business decisions.
These will soon be joined by additional high-potential professional courses:
- Social Media Marketer
- Web Designer
- Sustainability Manager (Green Skills)
The meeting confirmed the shared commitment of institutions, training bodies and third sector organisations to promoting youth employability through an innovative approach to training that connects digital, sustainability and local development.
