A European programme to develop skills for sustainability
Prodigy (Promoting Digital and Green Skills for Youth) is a European project co-funded by the ESF+ Social Innovation+ programme, created to offer free, fully online training to young people aged between 15 and 29 who are at a delicate stage in their lives: they are not in education, employment or training, or are in the transition from education to work. The programme is implemented by an international partnership comprising: Fondazione L'Albero della Vita ETS (lead partner), Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS, Adecco Italia spa, Università degli Studi Roma Tre, together with European partners ActionAid Hellas (Greece) and Partners Bulgaria Foundation (Bulgaria).
A real opportunity for young people looking for a future
The project is aimed at 240 young people living in the cities of Catanzaro, Reggio Calabria, Naples, Palermo, Thessaloniki, Blagoevgrad and Gotse Delchev. Each young person has access to a personalised programme based on a shared educational agreement, accompanied by individual coaching and actions to strengthen social networks. The entire training programme is designed to enhance talents and bring participants closer to the world of work, thanks also to the active support of the companies involved.
What you will study
The programme offers six professional training courses, all delivered online with live lessons and in-depth materials available for self-study (asynchronous). The learning areas are divided into three levels of complexity: basic, intermediate and advanced.
The courses available are:
- Basic digital skills (20 hours): this course focuses on digital literacy, the use of collaborative cloud tools and essential IT security.
- Advanced digital skills (25 hours): explores topics such as digital citizenship, data protection, managing complex online activities and the basics of artificial intelligence.
- A specific module for understanding, self-assessing and presenting your green skills in the new job market (15 hours).
- The path to becoming a Social Media Marketer (60 hours), with a focus on content creation, paid campaigns, digital strategies and data analysis.
- The Data Analyst course (60 hours), to acquire the skills necessary for data collection, interpretation and representation.
- The module for Sustainability Managers (60 hours), dedicated to those who want to guide companies and organisations in the ecological transition and in the application of ESG criteria.
- The Web Design course (60 hours), which starts with HTML and CSS and progresses to the design of user-friendly and responsive interfaces.
How the certification works
At the end of each module, there is an online test. Upon passing the test, participants receive a certificate of attendance and, upon completion of the entire course, the Esco and DigComp 2.2 certification, issued by Roma Tre University.
