From Word to Facebook: 25 students in secondary school class III A at the L. Da Vinci School in Fiuggi (Province of Frosinone) have explained to their elder students how to use a word processing programme and how social networks operate.
“Many of the grandparents write poetry and print it out, but from today they can use Word and save the poems as files on a computer,” explains Biagio Terrinoni, the coordinating teacher.
Prof. Terrinoni like to paint and is known as “Biagio da Fiuggi”. At the school, he teaches Art and is responsible for coordinating didactic activities and reception as well as analysing students’ needs and keeping relations with external institutions.
After just four lessons of Grandparents on the Internet, Prof. Terrinoni is enthusiastic of how the project is going. He is convinced that technology can improve the quality of life and didactic activities.
