Thanks to the Pink Cloud initiative organized by Microsoft, Asus, Aviva and Accenture in collaboration with various partners including the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, young Italian and foreign women were able to participate in free technical and scientific training tracks with the objective of bridging the gender gap in science, technology and research.
Pink Cloud, which is also promoted by international organisations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) and UN Women, was held in Milan on May 19-21, 2015.
Over 50 educational seminars were organized for 2600 Italian students from 8 Italian regions and 69 foreign students from:
