"Pink Cloud on Tour. Science and Technology for Ambitious Young Women” kicks off today. The event, which will be held on May 9-13, 2016 in Bari, Naples and Cagliari, will introduce over 1000 young Italian and foreign women (aged 17-24) to the many opportunities existing in the technological and digital sectors to overcome the gender gap in technological education [see press release].
The two-day event in Bari is organized into three main areas:
Ana Lain, Self-enterprise and New Jobs Coordinator for the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will be in Bari to coordinate the participating students from 15 schools throughout the Puglia Region.
This year, the Pink Hackathon, promoted and organized by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, will be held by Giulio D'Amato, the main coach, with a group of Microsoft Student Partners from Puglia and ten tutors from the Computer Science Programme at the ITT Modesto Panetti School in Bari.
The winning team will receive a Plexiglas plaque manufactured in the Phyrtual Innovation Gym Fab Lab by Designer Mauro Del Santo, coordinator of the digital manufacturing lab.
Moreover, the school managed by Headmaster Eleonora Matteo will also report on the event, another novelty for this edition. The student reporters will be coordinated by Prof Antonio Curci.
