Yesterday’s lesson at the Faculty of Communications of the “Roma Tre” University held by Alfonso Molina, Scientific Director of the Fondazione Mondo Digitale, was attended by 15 humanities and economics students who learned about the potential and application of the Personal Ecosystem Canvas (PEC).
Conceived by Prof. Molina, the Personal Ecosystem Canvas is a tool that can be used to investigate our personal ecosystem, the multidimensional, dynamic, evolutive and complex system that includes all local and global, internal and external, aspects that influence our lives. According to the research conducted by Alfonso Molina, the structure and development of this system is fundamental for our personal, educational and professional lives.
The PEC is a tool for self-reflection on our internal (mind and body) and external aspects (possessions, relations, organisation, infrastructure, global cultural trends). Each of these aspects presents a vast series of sub-categories that are analysed in detail through a questionnaire that produces results in real-time. The results provide a complete overview of our current situation, as well as that in the short-term.
The holistic nature of this tool allows its application in a range of different contexts (enterprise, university, school) to increase self-awareness about the complexity and dynamics of every individual and can be used to create programmes to align our personal, social and working spheres.
The meeting was extremely interesting an provided the opportunity to reflect and understand this efficient tool for team-building, leadership, educational and professional orientation and enterprise.
