We met him on the RomeCup competition fields when he was still a student at IIS Pacinotti-Archimede in Rome. Alessio Di Brigida, a robotics enthusiast, is now studying Computer Engineering at Sapienza University in Rome. In the meantime, Alessio continued attending the Phyrtual Innovation Gym where he also took up digital manufacturing. Remember the team of digital stylists who produced the first smart dress in the Fab Lab and that was presented at the Maker Faire 2014? The dress, controlled by an Intel Galileo Chipset, was livened by over 150 leds that shined to the rhythm of music, was developed thanks to the work of Emanuele and Alessio.

At the Maker Faire 2015, Alessio and other makers, introduced a true hit, the wearable drum kit.

This year, Alessio was called by Maria Punturo and Rodolfo Falcioni, teachers at this former school, IIS Pacinotti-Archimede, to coach the student team that will participate in RomeCup 2016 (March 16-18).

The Pacinotti-Archimede School will probably have the greatest number of competing teams in three categories: Explorer, Rescue and Soccer.

So, how are they preparing? Fiammetta Castagnini interviewed Alessio.
