Project "Fully Enjoy the Internet" at the Montepulciano Canvas Hub
Today, Friday, June 7, at 14.30, the Canvas Hub Social Innovation Centre (Piazza Savonarola, Montepulciano) will host the presentation of the survey results on bullying and cyberbullying that involved students at secondary schools in Montepulciano. The project, promoted by the civic administration and cofinanced by the Regione Toscana, was implemented by third sector agency Canvas Hub.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale, which is committed to educating youth to a critical use of the web, especially to contrast bullying and cyberbullying, was invited to participate in the event. Marta Pietrelli, Project Coordinator for Fully Enjoy the Internet, and Marianna Martini, a coach and psychologist, shared the results of the experience conducted with Google, the postal police, Altroconsumo, and Anteas.
Other experts participating in the event include Valeria Fonte (master’s in Italian language and literature), content creator/disseminator and author of a book entitled “Ne uccide più la lingua” (2022) on gender violence in which she uses her academic skills to disassemble the hate in words; Lyre Scialpi, whose TikTok sketches and stories aim to raise awareness on social issues through irony and black humour; and Lucrezia Marino, psychologist, psychotherapist, and sexologist.
At the end of the meeting, starting at 16.30, the fanzine created by the students (aged 15-25) as part of the “Do-zine Ribelli” independent editorial project will be presented.
Fully Enjoy the Internet is a programme created by Google and promoted in Italy by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with the State Police, Altroconsumo,and Anteas to educate youth and adults on the principles of digital citizenship, providing knowledge and skills that are useful to enjoy the web safely.
